Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has ruled out loaning any of his senior players who are looking to leave the club, saying they must exit Old Trafford for good instead.
Anthony MartialMorgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay have all been peripheral figures under Mourinho this season and could leave the club in the January transfer window.
West Brom has reportedly bid £13million for Schneiderlin, Sevilla are believed to be interested in signing Martial on loan, while Depay has been linked with a host of clubs in England and abroad.
Mourinho, though, confirmed that he has rejected all offers he has received so far, and that only young goalkeeper Sam Johnstone will be allowed to leave the club on loan for the foreseeable future.
“Sam Johnstone is the only player that I allow to go on loan because he doesn’t play one single minute, he needs to play,” Mourinho said.
“I don’t want to sell players – the club, the board are totally with me. But, as I said before, if a player is not having lots of minutes, and if a player really wants to leave, we have no right to stop the player to leave.
“Until this moment we have not received one single offer that we are going to accept.
“We have a young goalkeeper in Joel [Pereira], a goalkeeper that played many minutes in the last six months.
“For the development of both, Joel played six months in the Portuguese Premier League and now it’s time for Sam to play six months and that’s the only loan move we are going to do.
